Remedies for Ovarian Cysts – Castor Oil Treatments Get Rid Of Ovarian Cyst Pain

Many women suffer the effects of a cyst on their ovaries and for some the pain is so bad that they will look for home remedies for ovarian cysts to help ease their discomfort. I am not saying that you should not seek the advice of a doctor, but some women prefer to look for alternative medicines and natural cures found in old folk remedies.

Click Here to Read About Natural Remedies for Ovarian Cysts

Almost every woman will have an ovarian cyst at some point during her lifetime. Most of these will never even be noticed and will go away on their own. Some will cause significant pain and discomfort. A small percentage may be so severe that medical intervention is necessary.

Ovarian cysts mainly occur in women of childbearing age and are functional cysts, meaning they form during the normal monthly cycle and dissolve on their own. About 15% are found in post-menopausal women and because the incidence of cancer goes up with age, a small percentage of those are then found to be malignant.

Home remedies for ovarian cysts have been around for ages, but because of the onset of modern medicine, most of the natural treatments were abandoned. It is only recently that more and more people are opting for safe, natural remedies instead of pills and prescriptions that have lots of undesirable side effects.

Birth control pills and surgery are the two most recommended ways to deal with ovarian cysts. Neither will do anything to prevent the recurrence of them or get rid of them forever. So what do you do if you are plagued by recurring cysts, facing yet another surgery or prescribed expensive birth control pills?

Castor Oil Treatments

Many women have found comfort in using castor oil as a safe, effective natural remedy for ovarian cysts. It can be used externally along with a hot water bottle to ease your pain.

Castor oil has a long history of getting rid of inflammation, increasing circulation and aiding in digestion. People have used it for centuries to ease the pain and discomfort of swollen joints, bursitis, digestive disorders, liver problems, urinary problems and cysts on the ovaries and uterus.

Additional Remedies for Ovarian Cysts Can Be Found Here

It should not be taken orally, but should be used as an external pack placed on the problem area. Results should be noticed over the course of a weeks time. This is just one of the many remedies for ovarian cysts that you can do at home without having to see a doctor.

Every woman should at least try to use the natural treatments and remedies for ovarian cysts before resorting to any type of surgery unless it is an emergency situation. **If you are experiencing any type of severe pain, bleeding, nausea or vomiting it is advised that you see a physician immediately.

Different Types of Cysts – What Are The Most Common Ovarian Cysts?

There are many different types of cysts that can cause differences in symptoms and ways in which they are treated. Most women will develop a cyst on the ovaries during her lifetime. Ovarian cysts are a natural part of ovulation throughout a woman’s monthly cycle.

Many of these cysts will never be noticed and will go untreated. Others can cause a lot of pain and discomfort and need some type of intervention. A cyst that ruptures or twists can be very uncomfortable and may require a trip to the hospital.

Find Out How to End Ovarian Cyst Pain Here

If you are unfamiliar with the different types of cysts, I will explain them below. The most common types of ovarian cysts are called functional cysts because they form during the normal menstrual cycle during ovulation.

Functional Cysts

Follicle Cysts – Form when the follicle fails to open up and release the egg. The sac continues to grow forming a cyst. This type of cyst will usually disappear on it’s own in a few months time.

Corpus Luteum Cysts – Form if the sac never dissolves after releasing the egg. It seals itself off and builds up fluid. It can grow quite large up to 4 inches in diameter. It too usually goes away after a few weeks time, but not always. A corpus luteum cyst can bleed or twist and cause significant pain. You may notice spotting in between periods or skipped periods. Some fertility drugs have been cited as a possible cause.

Other Different Types of Cysts

Endometriomas – Form when a woman has endometriosis which is a condition where tissue that acts like the lining of the uterus grows outside of it. This tissue can then attach itself to the ovaries causing a cyst. Significant pain can develop either during your period or intercourse.

Cystadenomas – Form from cells on the surface outside of the ovary. They are filled with a watery fluid or thick, sticky gel. These type of cysts can become large and cause significant pain.

Dermoid Cysts – Form from cells that develop into other types of cells. They are the strangest of all the different types of cysts in that they can contain hair, teeth, thyroid tissue, bone and other types of tissues. These too can grow large and cause pain.

Polycystic or PCOS – Form when eggs are never released from the follicle and cause a cyst. The difference being that it repeats itself over and over forming many clusters of cysts resembling grapes. This type of condition can cause infertility.

No one wants to have ovarian cysts but knowing about them can increase your awareness and hopefully educate you on what to do about them. Different types of cysts require different types of treatment. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. Some will be painful, others will quietly disappear. Some will respond to natural treatments, others like dermoid cysts may require surgery. Some are caused by lifestyle choices, others are there from birth.

Get Ovarian Cyst Relief Secrets Now

No matter the type of cyst you have it is better to treat the cause not just the symptom. If stress is a constant in your life then you need to learn how to relax. If you make bad food choices, learn to eat healthier. If you drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes, quitting now will lead to a healthier lifestyle and a healthier body.

Causes of Ovarian Cysts – Getting to the Root of the Problem

The most frustrating thing about being diagnosed with ovarian cysts is what are the causes of ovarian cysts and how can you prevent them? The only way to really get any better is to finally figure out why you are getting them in the first place.

Ovarian cysts seem to be most common in women of childbearing age, but have been found in all age groups and races. Most of the cysts that are found are functional cysts called follicular cysts or corpus luteum cysts that resolve on their own. Sometimes these cysts grow and cause pain and discomfort.

**Complications can develop when a cyst ruptures and severe internal bleeding occurs. This is usually an emergency situation and requires immediate medical intervention.

Click Here to Learn More About the Causes of Ovarian Cysts

So what exactly are the causes of ovarian cysts?

I think most doctors would agree that pinpointing the exact causes of ovarian cysts is not an easy task. It depends on the type of cyst you have and why it developed in the first place.

Hormone Levels

Most functional ovarian cysts form when there is a definite imbalance in hormone levels. Certain diseases can affect hormones such as thyroid conditions. Pregnancy can be a factor, especially in the second trimester when bhCG levels are at their highest.

Lifestyle Choices

Other causes of ovarian cysts seem to be related to lifestyle. Smoking has been found to be linked to the formation of ovarian cysts as has eating and dietary habits. Women who eat lots of overly processed foods have a higher incidence of cysts.

Toxins found in processed foods have been found to cause lots of ailments and changing what we eat is a simple and easy thing to do. Learning to eat healthier will reduce the risk of developing ovarian cysts and can go a long way in preventing them in the first place.

Detoxing our bodies can rid us of harmful chemicals. Keeping our liver functioning properly by staying away from too much alcohol, which can over work it, will get rid of excess hormones. Drinking plenty of water is a good habit to get into.

Stress

Stress also seems to be a cause of ovarian cysts. Women who experience stressful situations, either from a job, marriage problems, a death in the family or a number of other factors have been found to have an increase in ovarian cysts. Eliminating stress can reduce the incidence of cysts.

google_ad_height = 60;
// ]]>

Lack of Exercise

Getting regular exercise can help reduce the chances of getting ovarian cysts. Even simple exercises like walking, bicycling and swimming have been found to be beneficial.

Get Rid of Ovarian Cysts Today

Please keep in mind that you should never skip your annual gynecological exams. A doctor can usually find an ovarian cyst by doing a pelvic exam and following through with an ultrasound if anything suspicious is noted. It is important to visit your doctor routinely with any questions or concerns you may have.

National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – Remembering Women Worldwide

Did you know that September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month? Teal is the official color and should be worn to honor those who have been lost and those who are still fighting.

Ovarian cancer claims thousands of women every year. In 2010, it is estimated that there will be about 14,600 deaths from ovarian cancer in the United States alone. The American Cancer Society says that ovarian cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer of the reproductive system.

Click Here To Learn About A Natural Treatment For Ovarian Cysts

It is usually not found until the later stages because the early warning signs are not easily detected and very often mimic those of other ailments. Every woman should be aware of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and should be especially concerned about those that do not get better and increase in severity. Be watchful for the following four symptoms:

Bloating

Frequent Urination

Pain in the Pelvic or Abdominal Region

Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly

In addition, you may experience any or all of the following:

Nausea, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea or gas

Intense fatigue

Shortness of breath

Backaches

If any of these symptoms persist or worsen over the course of a couple weeks, you should see a doctor right away. You know your body and any sudden changes that make you feel that something is wrong should be listened to. Never dismiss that “gut feeling”.

So many women will ignore these symptoms until it is too late. Many of them mimic other conditions and can be confused with other ailments. For instance, ovarian cancer can cause bowel problems and is often confused with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

The goal of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is to educate women and their families to the danger of ovarian cancer and to hopefully some day find a cure for this terrible disease. The earlier this cancer is detected the better the survival rate.

Women in every state will celebrate the life they have been given because of early detection. Those that were not as fortunate will be celebrated because of the life they have given to those that love them. We should never forget all the courageous women who have battled ovarian cancer and won.

Ovarian Cyst After Menopause – Can You Still Get Cysts After Your Period Stops?

Could you still be at risk of developing an ovarian cyst after menopause? Yes you can. Although most cysts found after menopause are benign, meaning they are not cancerous, the risk of getting ovarian cancer increases as we age.

For this reason, it is very important for a woman who is post-menopausal to get any type of cyst on her ovaries evaluated. Carefully monitoring the cyst for any sudden changes should be routine. If it does not go away on it’s own and increases in size, both a sonogram and CA-125 test should be done.

Learn How To Avoid Ovarian Cyst After Menopause By Clicking Here

Does Removing The Ovaries Help?

Some women, who are done having children, may wonder if they should just have their ovaries removed so they don’t have to worry anymore about developing ovarian cysts after menopause and possibly getting cancer. Most of the time, it is not recommended that the ovaries are removed, even if you have a hysterectomy. Surgery is always risky and if it can be avoided, the better it will be.

The ovaries have an important job to do. They are responsible for keeping hormone levels normal well past menopause. Removing the ovaries will disrupt the normal function of these hormones and could lead to such problems as osteoporosis and heart disease. Keeping the ovaries intact also helped benefit mood swings, vaginal dryness and skin tone.

What Is The Risk Of Developing An Ovarian Cyst After Menopause?

Only about 17% of post-menopausal women will develop a cyst on her ovaries. Most of these cysts go away on their own, but a small percentage of those do not. This is when many women worry about cancer.

Click Here For Natural Treatment Of An Ovarian Cyst After Menopause

Although cancer is always the first thing we think of when we find out we may have an ovarian cyst after menopause, the risk is still small. The reason it gets many women worried is that most of the time, the cancer is caught too late and has spread to other organs.

It is important to note that there are no modern medicines that will prevent ovarian cysts after menopause. The only thing that can be done is to take a holistic, natural approach to prevent them from occurring. More and more women are turning to natural medicines in order to cure themselves from disease and untreatable conditions.

The healthier your body is, the less risk you have in developing any type of cancer or an ovarian cyst. Cleansing the body of unwanted toxins and keeping it clean, will stave off all kinds of ailments.

Recurring Ovarian Cysts – Are You At Risk For Surgery Again and Again?

In my quest to provide you the best information possible, I have been reading lots of forums and gathering information from actual women who have suffered or are suffering from ovarian cysts. One of the things I came across was the absolute frustration of those that have recurring ovarian cysts and what to do about them.

The saddest and most painful stories I read dealt with women who were so frustrated over what to do about cysts that kept coming back. Some of them had gone through numerous Laparoscopies only to be told that another one would be needed. I could almost cry!

Learn How To Prevent Recurring Ovarian Cysts Here

How could anyone want to be subjected to all those surgeries. Not only are they obtrusive, but they must be very expensive. I’m sure some have good insurance, but what happens to those that must pay a percentage out of pocket? I couldn’t help but feel badly for these women.

This couldn’t be the only solution, but as I kept reading, it seemed that they were so accepting of the fact that they would indeed have to go through this time and time again.

This is the exact thing that got me to investigate the possibility of an alternative solution to getting rid of recurring ovarian cysts. There had to be something that these women could try to reduce and eliminate them for good. No one should have to be subjected to that.

Many women still turn to traditional methods, but these almost do nothing to prevent recurring ovarian cysts and sometimes do more damage than good. Some women claim that the prescription birth control pills that are so often prescribed actually made their cysts worse!

This is when I came across Laura Henning’s program. Women who have used her methods say that their cysts started to shrink and the pain went away after only 3 days of using it, eliminating them altogether in only 8 weeks time.

**The only type of cyst that her program had no result on was a dermoid cyst which is one that is filled with solid matter. Surgery seems to be the only option here.

Click Here To Find Out How To Prevent Recurring Ovarian Cysts

Here are the results from a study done with 23 women. All 23 said:

Their ovarian cysts shrunk rapidly

The unbearable pain was gone within a few short days

None of them had to go through the frightening surgery that was so easy for their doctors to recommend

No one who followed the program ever experience a single cyst again

In addition:

Everyone started losing weight almost effortlessly

Their menstrual cycles became more consistent

Their emotions became more balanced, and they felt happier and calmer

Their sex life improved Other, unrelated illnesses started to reverse

Laura’s program dealt with the root cause of her ovarian cysts and that is why it worked. Surgery and prescription treatments do not focus on why you have cysts, they only treat the symptoms.

Going throught the pain of recurring ovarian cysts has to be the most frustrating and emotionally draining situations to be in. Don’t be like the women in the forums that I read. I feel sorry for them, because they are at the mercy of the doctors who are treating them and have probably never heard of Laura’s methods.

Removal of Ovarian Cysts – Questions That You Need to Ask Before Having Any Type of Treatment

The removal of ovarian cysts could have consequences and you need to be prepared to ask alot of questions before going through any surgery or procedure. Some doctors will suggest going in and removing the entire ovary. You may still be able to function with only one ovary, but that leads to some questions:

1. What happens if you are young and still want to be able to have children someday?
2. Will you have a hard time conceiving with only one ovary?
3. What if another cyst is found on the other ovary?
4. Are there any dangers or complications that can come with surgery?
5. What is my recovery time?

In a nut shell, these are the quick answers to those questions:

1. Yes, you may have a harder time being able to conceive if you only have one ovary.
2. Yes, you could develop additional cysts on the good ovary.
3. Yes, there could be complications with surgery such as hemorrhaging or an allergic reaction to anesthesia.
4. Depending on the type of surgery you have you can expect a recovery time of between 2 weeks to as much as 8 weeks.

Click Here For Natural Removal of Ovarian Cysts

Rushing in to have surgery should not be the first thing you do when diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. Actually most cysts will go away on their own without any medications or medical procedures.

What are some alternative approaches to the removal of ovarian cysts?

First of all, if you are in any kind of pain, you can use a heating pad to lessen your discomfort. Drinking hot herbal teas will also do the trick. Pressure from your bowels can also add to the pain, so eating foods high in fiber and drinking lots of water will regulate your bladder and bowels, clean out your system and relieve the pressure on your cysts.

The reason that natural treatments work so well is that they get down to the root cause of the cysts and don’t just deal with the symptoms. Finding out what is causing them is the key to finally ridding yourself of them for good. Most times it is either stress, which can cause a whole bunch of problems to begin with, or an imbalance of your hormones or insulin levels.

Home treatments have been proven to work quite well on those that have tried them and if the removal of ovarian cysts through surgery is making you so worried or stressed then I suggest that you look into some of the natural treatments to cure and prevent them from occurring in the first place.

Ovarian Dermoid Cyst – What Is It?

An ovarian dermoid cyst is one of the complex ovarian cysts and probably the strangest of all the different types of cysts. The cells of a dermoid cyst have the ability to create other cells that are different from the original cell. They can contain greasy, fluid material which often includes teeth, cartilage, hair and even muscle tissue.

These types of ovarian cysts are found mostly in women who are still young and in their child-bearing years. Most are not cancerous and if cancer is found, it is usually in women who are over the age of 40. The chance of it being malignant is only about 2%. Most women have them on only one ovary, but about 15% will get them on both ovaries.

Click Here For A Natural Cure For Ovarian Cysts

Most ovarian dermoid cysts do not cause any symptoms unless they twist the ovary (cause torsion) or become large and rupture. While most remain small, some have been found to be as big as 17 inches. This can cause severe pain and surgery is usually recommended at this point. Either a laparoscopy or laparotomy is performed.

**It must be noted that surgery could cause the contents of an ovarian dermoid cyst to “spill” within the abdominal cavity which could cause infection or adhesions. Procedures today usually include “bagging” the cyst, before removal, so that this does not happen.

The best news is that ovarian dermoid cysts along with any types of cysts can be removed and are not permanent. The only problem with surgery is it does nothing to prevent future ovarian cysts from forming. Going through one surgery doesn’t necessarily mean you will not need another.

This is why many women today are opting to find alternative ways to prevent cysts. Natural cures are becoming more and more popular especially when we find that traditional methods can cause so many side effects. It could be dangerous for us and any future children we may want to have.

Natural Treatment for Ovarian Cysts and PCOS

Natural methods do not have side effects. The best way to deal with ovarian dermoid cysts is to have it removed if it is a problem and then keep them from recurring by changing what we eat and how we live so that we no longer have to deal with the pain and discomfort of ever having them again.

Most ovarian cysts occur during the years when a woman is most fertile and therefore can be worrisome to a woman who wants to become pregnant.

Click Here for More Information On Ovarian Cysts and Fertility

Is there a connection between ovarian cysts and fertility?

The simple answer is yes, but not all cysts are the culprit. It depends on what type of cyst you have been diagnosed with. The two main types of cysts that can cause infertility are Endometriomas and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).

Endometriomas are cysts that can form due to endometriosis which is an ailment of the reproductive system in women. Endometrium is a tissue that usually lines the uterus. In endometriosis however, this tissue grows outside the uterus sometimes on the ovaries, pelvis and fallopian tubes.

In a normal menstrual cycle the lining of the uterus sheds causing bleeding. This same tissue when present outside of the uterus also does the same thing and starts to bleed. This is when a cyst can form because the tissue becomes irritated and can cause pain and infertility.

PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a hormonal disorder which can cause many cysts to form and the ovaries to become enlarged. PCOS can be detected in the teen years when menstruation is abnormal. In women wanting to become pregnant, it can cause difficulty in conceiving, because ovulation and periods are disrupted.

PCOS can cause physical abnormalities such as excess hair growth and acne, as well as weight gain. It can also lead to heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. The cause of PCOS is still unknown.

What can be done to prevent ovarian cysts?

Women who are trying to get pregnant need to know that there are natural, alternative treatments to prevent and get rid of their ovarian cysts. Traditional treatments should not be used on pregnant women or those who are trying to conceive due to the side effects they may have.

Contraceptives are a common treatment for PCOS, but for those trying to become pregnant that’s not an option. Surgery may not be an option because of the exposure to anesthesia. More and more women are turning to natural alternatives due to safety, cost and convenience.

Natural Treatment for Ovarian Cysts

Taking care of your body should be a priority when trying to become pregnant anyway, so learning healthy habits shouldn’t be hard. A simple remedy such as taking a warm bath, using a heating pad and sipping hot tea can do wonders to soothe and ease the pain and discomfort you are feeling.

Eating a healthy diet and getting rid of stress will help prevent ovarian cysts and fertility will be right around the corner. Imagine the feeling you will have when you learn that your cysts are gone and you are going to have a baby! What could be better!

If you or a loved one is in need of some help and aren’t sure what to do or who to turn to, keep reading.

Laura Henning suffered for 6 years with ovarian cysts before discovering a solution to heal and cure them for good. It all started when she noticed pain about 2 weeks before the start of her menstrual period that progressively got worse over time. It then started to radiate through her back and down her thighs.

After going for an ultrasound, she was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and literally told to “wait and see”. Prescription birth control pills made her cysts worse, and after the pain became unbearable she was told that surgery was her only option.

Natural Ovarian Cyst and PCOS Relief Secrets You Want To Know About

Laura knew that she did not want to go through surgery and found herself reading a ton of books to try and educate herself on ovarian cyst causes, cures and treatments. To her dismay, it all kept pointing to useless painkillers, estrogen therapy (birth control pills) or surgery.

She found out diet and lifestyle changes were what she needed to end her suffering. She detoxed her body and started eating fresh, unprocessed foods. After only 7 weeks her cysts shrunk and finally disappeared.

Since Laura’s discovery, countless women have used her research and findings to end their continuing cycle of pain and discomfort. Not only did their cysts disappear, but other ailments began to lessen also. Their emotional, sexual and physical lives began to improve.
